Scapa 10 Year Old
Orkney's other distillery finally has a proper age-statement core range, and the 10 year old is a cracking start. Full ex-bourbon maturation brings pineapple, mango, vanilla custard and gentle spice, with a lovely creamy texture. Bottled at 48%, non-chill-filtered and, I believe, naturally coloured, it's a world away from the old NAS releases. Highland Park has some serious competition.
